Finance Minister Mustafa Kamal gets the Finance Minister of the Year award

Financial Times Group’s monthly magazine ‘The Banker’ has awarded Bangladesh Finance Minister A. M. Mustafa Kamal as the Finance Minister of the Year for Asia-Pacific and Global Award.

The UK-based magazine has announced a press release from the Finance Ministry that it has awarded Mustafa Kamal for 2020.

The banker has been in the news since 1926, which is known as the “intelligence” of the banking sector in the world. They have been giving this award since 2004. The award was given to finance ministers for the steps taken and the overall consideration of ensuring long-term development. Including bringing in dynamics in the financial sector. Five finance ministers from Asia-pacific, America, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe, and one of them was awarded the world’s best finance minister.

This is the first time that a Finance Minister of Bangladesh has been awarded the award. The award was conferred last year by Indonesia’s finance minister, former Indian Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and the 2017 Argentine Finance Minister of the Year award, the press release said.

The Finance Minister has dedicated the award to all the people of the country and thanked Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for the achievement, following the guidance of the Prime Minister.
